Quatsch Update

Oct 31, 2006 18:22

Last post of the night:

Quatsch is okay. She just had the preliminary surgery today. They removed most of the mass and she has stitches and is sleeping soundly. She's unhappy with me right now :/

The vet gave her the cutest scarf, though! She is never getting rid of that, as far as I'm concerned!

I will :) I'm never letting her take that scarf off :) It's the cutest thing I've ever seen! My Quatschy is a cowpoke!

Glad to hear she's doing good! Hope it's benign so she doesn't ahve to have any more surgery.

I've never seen a cat wear a scarf!! LOL Are you sure once she's recovered she won't shake it off! Mine would be running around the house because they'd think something had them by the neck!!

She used to not let me put anything like that around her neck--she used not let me even put a collar around her! Since she's gotten older, though, she's pretty much had a "whatever" attitude. As long as there's food she doesn't care if I put her in a pink Princess outfit! (hmmm...that's an idea...) She doesn't even mind getting in the cat carrier--both times she's went to the vet in the last few weeks, she's walked right into the carrier! The Quatsch of yore would've fought me tooth and kitty paw before she got in a cat carrier :) It's nice to see age mellows cats out (at least this cat!)

Chester's still a hellion, though :/

Thank you :) I hope she doesn't have to have any more surgery, either. I don't know if she'd survive it :(

i was inside the mall, so odds are good that the reception was bad on top of my mumbling. i'm not sure what it was i said anymore myself, so it must not have been too important. sorry about that

Beebs never got a scarf after his surgery!!! I guess we took him to the wrong place! I am going to have to post a pic of him with his staples in, since on Friday we get them out! They shaved a lot more of his fur than they did Quatsch... I'm glad she's doing well :-) Hang in there!

Thank you :) What did Beebs have surgery for? I'm so sorry he had to go through that.

I don't want to take her scarf off! It's really more of a bandana, I guess. It's getting wrinkly, though, so I need to wash it.

My other cat Chester is being really horrible to Quatsch. She growls at her and won't let her near the food bowl. I had to put Quatsch's food in a separate bowl. I'm worried that Chester may not let Quatsch near the litter box so I'm going to buy a second one tomorrow; I'll set it up for Quatsch until Chester gets over himself. They usually love each other--this is really bothering me. Someone at work suggested that Quatsch probably smells differently because of the anesthesia. I hope it wears off soon :/ Mama's stressing out!

I just called my cat Chester "she". No wonder he's so full of venom now! Mommy's made him gender confused!
