In which Sky is predictably excited about X-Men: First Class.

Just got back from seeing X-Men: First Class. There is nothing bad about that movie except, perhaps, how it fits in with the canon established by the other four movies, but we'll just ignore that. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I'm just going to say this (and really, y'all should've expected it from me ( Read more... )

the slash oh gods the slash, movies, movies: x-men first class

GO SEE THE MOVIE AND TELL ME IT'S NOT PRACTICALLY THERE ANYWAY.

OMG, I NEED TO SEE IT AGAIN, POSSIBLY ALONE SO NO ONE CAN MOCK MY STUPID NOISES.

I mean... IT'S SO AWESOME. I WANT TO HAVE LOTS OF SEX WITH BOTH OF THOSE HOT HOT MEN.

I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY COMIC-TURNED-MOVIE MOVIES IN AGES. I NEVER EVEN SAW THE THIRD X-MEN. I DON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT THE OTHERS MOVIES. I'M NOT INTERESTED, ACTUALLY, IN SEEING THIS ONE.

I've become a very boring person in regards to movies lately. It's true.

But this movie is so much better than the other three. (Four if you count the Wolverine movie, which was terrible.) Plus it pretty much ignores the canon that's set up in the first trilogy, which is sort of hilarious. And has an awesome Hugh Jackman-as-Wolverine cameo. :)

But you could also just ignore it. :/

Why so boring about movies lately?

Happy happy joy joy! I will be seeing this later today. Either that or I will be seeing Kung Fu Panda 2 later today. But still! The thought is there!

See them both? I sort of want to see Kung Fu Panda 2. I liked the first one, so. :)

But definitely see X-Men: First Class soon. It's so awesome.

Oh man, I think I must watch this. I didn't know anything about it, and I'll watch just about anything with James McAvoy in it.

...I kind of already shipped Xavier/Magneto, I blame Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen for being awesome.

I only shipped them in theory. Like, "I'll bet they had an awesome bromance when they were younger." And by bromance I mean gay sex. Obviously.

Uh, no. I think we need them as is. Because Hugh Jackman is amazing in them. He's the only amazing thing in them, but.

I mean, maybe? They could start over with this as the first one? Idk. This is the first movie in a trilogy, though. The second is already in the works. (I hope it has a clever title, with the word "second" in it.)

MY GOD I ABSOLUTELY AGREE. I spent that entire movie going, "...GOD THEY ARE SO GAY FOR EACH OTHER. IT'S LIKE THEY JUST WANT TO TAKE GAY BREAKS FROM THEIR DUTIES WITH THEIR EYES." And then at the end! OMFG. Just. I WILL ABSOLUTELY BE JOINING YOU IN FICCING THIS. JUST. SO MUCH.

My summer RAing has thus far fallen through completely and so my summer has consisted of: NOTHING. So, you know, writing fic? ACTUALLY SOMETHING I CAN DO RIGHT NOW.

Also: I miss you. ♥ WE SHOULD CHAT SOMETIME.

INO, RITE?

Yeah, I actually have time to write fic, now, which is awesome. I really really need to finish my trekreversebang fic first, though. I'm like... 1/3 of the way through it. Ugh.

I MISS YOU TOO, BB. I am on google talk sometimes! That's the only chat client I use these days.

I think I'm technically always on Google talk? It gets sent to my phone as a text-type message. EITHER WAY, SMARTPHONE = I GET EMAILS RIGHT AWAY AND REPLY RIGHT AWAY, which is nifty. I'm on chat on occasion, but like I said, almost always on Google Chat. It's useful. (And occasionally FB chat, but that's because it's how people from class communicate. Weirdly.) I need to do . . . very little, at the moment. Actually, I need to fundraise like $3K, but I can do that. So, you know, stuff. Yeah. Hahaha! But, yes, fic. Mmm.
