I suppose it's time I updated, since I haven't done so in waaaay too long. God, since January!!! Truth is, I've been so busy, I haven't really given much thought to LJ. So, what've I been up to in the last... er.... 7 months?

What I've been up to! )

Oh I'm glad I friended you 'cos that was a very interesting post. I've never heard of The Yellow Wallpaper but I'll check it.

I know what you mean about art galleries. The first proper gallery I went to was the Musee D'Orsay in Paris, and it was an amazing experience. It just took my breath away to be up close to all these world famous impressionist paintings. Some of them were much bigger, and some much smaller, than I expected. It was so much better than seeing them in a book.

I'm glad you friended me too :-)

The Yellow Wallpaper is one of m favourite texts, so I do urge you to check it out.

Ooh, am jealous you went to Musee D'Orsay! I didn't get to go in there - or the Louvre - when I was in Paris, and really want to visit them if I ver get there again. I love impressionist works, and was really thrilled to see Monet's Waterlilies in the Tate. Fab!

That book looks soooo interesting. *sigh* Yet another one for my 'to read' list (which stands at about 100 so far). So many books; so little time! :(((

And if you go to Paris, go to the Musee Marmottan. That's where nearly all the waterlily paintings are. They are in an oval-shaped room so, if you stand in the middle, it's like being in a pond. The house and gardens themselves at nearby Giverny are also well worth a visit.

Yeah, I'm a geek for all things French ;)
