Well, my baby's gone and I'm here alone. Sounds like a line from a song, right? Except, of course, that my baby is literally my baby, Kat. Heh - she won't like being referred to as my baby, but what the Hell, she is ( Read more... )

I'm glad you posted! I was worried about you yesterday, because I knew it would be a heartwrencher. I was wibbly enough myself, and I wasn't even there! *laughs* I just kept remembering how hard it was for me my first day moving into the dorms at college-- but that was also because my parents didn't come to see me off so I was wibbly and lonesome. I think it's great that you and Andrew went all that way to be were there for Kat-- it really does make a difference having that support, I think :-)

I don't think you'll have to worry about that girl though-- knowing her, she'll have made friends with everyone on her floor by monday *laughs*

I hope everything is as well with you as it can be at the moment :-)

Thanks sweetie for your support :-)

Well, Andy and I had to go with her, didn't we? Couldn't just let her go on her own (anyway, Andy ahd to drive her!). I was worried about whether I was doing the right thing because I didn't want to upset her by being upset, but I'm so glad I've seen where she's staying etc, and I think it was much better for Kat too.

I had a little cry this morning but otherwise I've been okay. Lots of people have called me to check that I haven't cracked up :-) It feels very odd without Kat being here though, as you can imagine. I'm trying not to call and hassle her, but I'll probably text her later just to see how she's settling in and put my mind at rest.

I've been keeping myself extremely busy with preparing lesson plans for starting work on Tuesday. I do feel that I've accomplished a lot today, actually.

Will keep you posted as to how I'm doing :-)

When I called her last night, she was already on her way out with a new pal-- told you it wouldn't take long! *laughs* Maybe you should put on some McFly or something equally obnoxious very loudly if the house starts feeling too empty ;-) But hey on the upside, at least now you can watch Lord of the Rings at full volume whenever you want, without admonishment *grins*
