The energy is spiking upwards- if I can get it from the sides I'll be able to disarm it!

[Tails noticed the concentrating look on Knuckles face- frowning a bit as he glanced from guardian to emeralds.]

[He reached for something to use, should whatever Knuckles was trying reacted badly. He erked and turned his attention back to his friend.]

[Amy's breath is taken as she watched Knuckles and the Grey Emerald's reaction. This was something new for her, usually it's the Master Emerald.]

[Knuckles grit his teeth in concentration, he never had to do this with any emeralds that weren't his own, the energy was different, Seven Emeralds and not one of them were the Master...this was going to be even harder than he thought it was going to be.

The Grey is really glowing now, and a bolt of Chaos Energy from the two out of control Emeralds arcs towards Knuckles. Only for a beam of silvery light to shoot out of the Grey Emerald and hit the jumble of ruined battery and Chaos Emeralds on Tails worktop, and the arc of energy fizzles out before it can reach the echidna.

Finally Knuckles opened his eyes, he had control of the two, now it was time to finish the job.]

Tails, which Emeralds are from your world, and which are from Amy's.

[That...Knuckles was using Chaos Control. How...Tails blinked and shook his head. Time enough later to question his friend but right now.]

The blue, cyan, yellow and gray are from my world. The green came from Scourge's universe and the others are from Amy's.

[He let's his arm drop uselessly at his side, covering his eyes from the gray light.]

[That light... She's seen it before. It couldn't be. Amy looks towards Tails when he talked. Then she gasped as she shouted to Tails. It was green and looked like a crystal.]
