I also get the impression that Nathan desperately wants to keep Tony at arm's length. And Tony has no such reservations.

Nathan got a little unexpectedly angsty on me, there at the end - he does want to keep Tony at arm's length, and Tony doesn't, and it ended up clashing more than I thought.
