Fic: Temples Crumble/Empires Fall (Battlestar Galactica)

Apr 08, 2008 13:14

Pairing: Gaeta/Baltar/Caprica
Rating: hard R/light NC-17
Spoilers: through 3x04
Disclaimer: These characters aren't mine.
Notes: Beta'ed by archerstar and _usakeh_. I love you both. Like for serious reals. Written for nicole_anell, as she was ever so kind and bought me at Sweet-Charity, and has been incredibly wonderful as I've delayed finishing this story time and time again. ( Read more... )

Loved this.

I have to admit that on the show, when Gaius was trapped on the basestar with the rest of the cylons last season mostly I was just thinking about how *bored* he would be:) Threesomes seem to be the common solution to boredom:)

Boredom is the kiss of death. I kinda hope, inside, that a life well-lived is a life where you don't have to be bored.

Threesomes would *so* be a solution to boredom :P One way or another, they would definitely make things interesting...

I'm glad you liked! :)

Then, Felix thinks, maybe he could trust in the plot of this story he’s stuck in. Maybe this reality is just someone else’s story, written by the gods to entertain themselves.

Heh. Clever.

Your stories are always so poignant. Nicely done, of course.

Yeah, this story started out as an apology, on a metaphorical level, for how long it took to write the damn thing. Then it turned into an allegory between stories and real life. I'm still not *totally* sure how that happened.

Thank you; I'm glad you liked ^_^

I've missed writing. And actually being on LJ in general. Hopefully I can devote some more time to that now :) I'm glad you liked!

Oh my god, I have been waiting for this pairing for forever, and I love how you did it. I love how deeply set into Felix's perspective it is, and the strong storytelling/time theme just makes it all the more surreal, literary and dreamlike. At the same time, the character voices are perfect, and the sex? The sex is hot. SO GOOD!

Thank you! Though I've actually written this pairing before, myself :P

This one actually caused me a lot of trouble - both with the intensity of Felix's internal monologue and the outside reactions of the other characters. So, I'm quite glad you liked! :)

PS: What is your icon? Is that John Sheppard and Felix Gaeta?

Uh, ha ha, yes, it's totally Sheppard/Gaeta. I wrote a couple of stories with that pairing last year. :>

I think you pulled off the inner monologue flawlessly - I've never been able to get that close to characters, I have to maintain a sort of minimum-safe-distance to prevent feeling vulnerable, so I really admired the closeness in particular.

I am totally going to go seek out the other story to which you allude!

OMG! I definitely must visit your lj. I wanna more SG/BSG crossovers :P
But why Sheppard...? ;__; Why not... I dunno... someone from SG-1...? :P
