title: still like to go for a train ride ('cause i've got a thing about trains).
fandom: Doctor Who.
pairing: 10.5/Rose.
rating: R?
words: 3,857.
notes: Written for Challenge 94 at
then_theres_us, using the picture prompt below the cut. It's basically a fluffy excuse to have the Doctor and Rose make out on a train, I guess. Title from the Johnny Cash song.

A train caper, Rose! )

The holy grail of cereal words -- Raxacoricofallapatorius -- has eluded him thus far, which is just as well, because Rose has promised him a shag on the Manchester United pitch if he pulls it off.
And for some reason, that had me laughing. Puts streaking to a whole new level, and the Doctor is stubborn enough to try to accomplish that word even without the added bonus.
This is wonderful. Great job :D

I liked the alien plot in this one as well, how simple and comparatively mundane it ended up being but how excited it got the Doctor just because it was on a train. George's leech line made hm feel very vivid too.
Anyway just all in all I really liked this. Good job!

The cereal words is hilarious. Part of me now sort of wants a sequel where he gets Raxacoricofallapatorius. That would be a good one to explain to the police!
Cloen is just so cute and enthusiastic about going undercover. Especially with the whole train thing! XD
(The day Pete sat him down and made him fill out tax paperwork and insurance waivers, he swore up and down he was done. But he was back four days later, sheepish and pen in hand, dying to help Rose with a ship that had crashed outside Leeds.)
LOL. The Doctor as semi-reluctant-but-not-really Torchwood consultant is my personal canon, so I approve.
It's one of her favorite things in the world, trying to keep coherent as long as she can, little jokes and asides, while the Doctor, usually so ready with a whole dictionary, turns to nonsense.
Bwah, I love this, and it's totally how I picture it going down. The Doctor being rather incoherent about sex is so very him.
