Bread: Cheddar Garlic Beer Bread

So, again, my favorite Bread blog and Baker have inspired me to make more bread. This time I’m making quick Beer Bread. Cheddar Garlic Beer Bread to be exact.

To get the basic beer bread recipe, go to this post on the Year in Bread blog.

To make this a Cheddar Garlic Beer Bread, I added

3 Tbsp of 2% Cheddar Cheese, shredded (Kraft)

Ahh - but not as bad as it could be. I only used 3 tbsp (not even a 1/4 of a cup) and 2% at that. Honestly, it didn't really need it - you can't even taste it. Maybe next time, I'll just do the garlic and I'm thinking roasted garlic at that. It will be mellower.

I dont believe that it's not fattening but I do believe I will make some! who cares - muffin tops all around. wonder how mad doug will be if I use the really good beer? I'm running a 5k in a couple weeks. this is so not on the training plan. oh well.

Must... eat... bread. I SO couldn't cut it on Atkins. Your breads look faboo.
