as the mom of a child with special needs I just don't get why you think it's okay to use words that mock others.

As having a brother who was mentally handicapped and who died, thank you by the way. I don't think saying the word retarded describes anyone in particular. Especially when used in a sentence describing me and my friend basically being goofy and and weird.I don't understand why people get upset about the word retarded when its used so often and its not like I was making fun of unique children in any way shape or form.

I also don't understand why you felt compelled to read my journal

and As a mother I would think you would be mature enough to not let something as trivial as a word upset you.

I'm sure if I would have said "then me and my friend could act gay together" I would have gotten an earful too. Although gay...in the dictionary means happy or full of merriment
