The pure angst I felt when Vincent found those recording made my heart ache for him. Poor, poor bastard. How humiliating, and it actually gave me a sympathizing urgency for him to destroy them all ASAP, before anything can happen and they get out. It's been such an emotionally draining time for him, and I can feel his weariness with every action ( ... )

Holy late reply Batman! I had no idea you had left this! *bangs head on desk* We've actually dragged this story out of the mothballs and are trying to work on it again. I've got the next two chapters edited and ready to post and I hope to get more up. I don't know if you're still around to read them, but they are here if you are.

Thank you so much for your insightful comments. We're moved that you're still enjoying the story, even if this comment is two years old!! I feel horrible that I didn't get notification of this comment! Anyway, thanks again and we hope that RL is treating you well! :D

Poor Vincent - who has to endure once again his humiliation and poor Cid who cannot do anything about it - thankfully Verdot found a way to put Vincent out of his misery even if the method was quite unusual one.

Yeah, he does. For a while I thought Vincent was getting out of control a little, but then I went back and read the premise of this piece and he's right on track. He's got a lot of demons that are riding him hard. So much so that he's in real danger of losing himself to them and becoming the twisted, bitter, sadistic man RUfus was. This is not only Vincent's fight, it's Cid's fight. Cid has to find the man Vincent was and save what he can. Obviously Vincent won't come out of this the same man he was, but the good man his is deep down, is still there.

Thanks so much for checking back on this ancient thing! Bless you! :D
