I can't help but think that Cid is endearing himself to Vincent's Turks as much as he is to their boss. After all, Tseng's seems to be merely a token protest (at least where Vin's heart is concerned) but would naturally be concerned for his safety. Stiil it's easy to think of Tseng (and the rest) quietly keeping an eye on the perimeter, knowing what's about to go down. I'm sure Cid wants to rip someone in half, and Vin isn't any happier for what's happened to Cid. The opposition just keeps digging deeper holes for themselves...
For Vincent to admit to himself his need of Cid is a monumental concession on his part, and what comes of it shall be momentous, indeed. :)

*nods* Yep, Vincent took a huge step in the right direction by admitting his need for Cid. And, the Turks are kind of in a holding pattern with Cid right now. Vin's not really very open with them about his relationship with Cid other than Tseng, and Tseng keeps quiet out of respect for Vincent. But you're right in that they're keeping a silent eye out for their boss *suspenseful music*... most of them anyway >3. That will all change though in the drama/excitement that we have coming up!! It'll be riveting I think, so all this patience I hope will pay off for you! That and you'll finally learn about Vincent's past!

Argh, it took me too long to comment again! =3 I always like the chapters in Cid's apartment. Even with the awkward ending, it seemed like a pretty good chapter to me.
