I wish I had something important to do today or money to spend so that I could boycott.
But classes are over, I don't work Mondays, and I gotta save money for the road trip anyways. Badly timed protest... >.<
Ehh, I probably wouldn't have the guts to skip class or work anyway.

what do you have to worry about? They want people like you to come to the US and get good jobs so you can pay plenty of taxes. I know that our immigration policy is seriously messed up and unfair, but what can we do? I can't get any canidate that I vote for in office.

Yeah, luckily for me, legal Canadian immigrants don't exactly top the hate list. But through my dealing with the immigration system, I feel I understand the situation better then many of the anti-immigrant Americans I've talked to about it. (Including my boyfriend. >.<)
And you're right, there's very little we can do. I can't even vote. But I wish I had a way to participate in the protests today. That would be something.

The most disgusting part of all is the horrendous racist stereotyping I keep hearing and reading. The way people use it, "Mexican" doesn't even need a racial slur because the word itself is enough of an insult.
