90's Kid

Okay so I just saw Toy Story 3 for the second time and seriously, seriously I cannot possibly think of a more perfect ending to the series nor could I think of a more perfect movie. Even things that seemed in the trailer like they might have been tiring (Buzz's 'Spanish Mode') were brilliant ( Read more... )

I'm actually kind of pleased with the characters they kept. Bo might have added some unnecessary complications to the plot being that she was a porcelain lamp and all. D: D: D: Additionally, it was kind of fitting that Woody was socially isolated all the time when Buzz kept siding with Jessie. All his heartbroken little "bros before hos" looks.

Maybe if Woody were a little less No-Fun-Woody, this kind of thing wouldn't happen to him every movie.

ushitora_icons has a ton of GORGEOUS Pixar icons, but I can't wait until there's a good cam download of TS3 so that I can make my own. ~

I wasn't a kid-kid when Toy Story came out; I was what? fourteen? (*goes to check* ...wow, that was a good guess!), but I still remember watching the first one repeatedly after high school for a few years. This third one was freaking phenomenal. I'm so glad the woman next to me was as unbashed as she was; the whole row of us were just howling laughing through most of the film.

(Although, you know what bothers the hell out of me?
Didn't Andy and his mom realize at the end of 2 that Woody and Jessie were vintage toys? I haven't watched TS2 since it was in theaters, and so I can't remember if the human family learned that. If they did-- and I thought they did know-- then why donate the Woody's Round-Up toys? EBAY THOSE BASTARDS!)

Actually, I don't think that the human characters DID realize that. I just rewatched it recently and Andy's mom was just sort of like: "Wtf does this creepy adult want so desperately with my son's Cowboy doll?"

However, I was thinking the same thing when Hamm was all: "Let's see what we're going for on eBay." Andy could probably get himself through College by selling Woody, Jessie and Bullseye I bet... but that wouldn't be a very good movie. D:

Everyone seems to have good things to say about this movie. I need to get off my butt, finally watch the second one, and then go see this.

This was the first Toy Story movie to make me cry, it was that good. (And I didn't think anything would ever top Toy Story 2...)

GOD I saw this tonight and it was so damned fantastic. There is seriously nothing bad I can say about this movie. Also Barbie kicked ass.

I love how also there were genuinely frightening parts in it too. I've been feeling like movies aimed at children are missing a lot of the weird/horrible parts of fairy tales and movies I grew up with. Pink Elephants on Parade? Poor Unfortunate Souls? The fucking AC unit in Brave Little Toaster? BRING 'EM BACK.
