The funeral is tomorrow. It was John's best friend, Chris, that introduced us. Chris is one of my closest friends as well. HE just informed me that the family wants us with them. At least that is Chris's wording. I totally understsand wanting Chris and his wife Debby there beside them. But as much as John had already come to mean to me, his family

If the family wants you there then they must know something. Just see what happens when you get there, and do what flows naturally. You are in my thoughts and prayers. *HUGS*

To me, a funeral is a way for anyone who cared about this person to say goodbye to them, regardless of weather or not the family knows who they are. You cared about this guy, and the family is offering you an opportunity to say goodbye, if it were me i would take this opportunity to do so.
