The painting is .... coming along. I thought the eyes were too small, so I made them bigger.. now I'm doubting myself.... It's really hard to copy someone who has such a loose style like Sargent.. because you are trying to make the same strokes so you have to concentrate... which isn't loose. lol

Hot flashes are the reason for global warming.

Today is the first day in many winters that I am actually wearing a sweater. I started to doubt that this day would ever come. But with the waining flashes come other issues *sigh* Middle age sucks!

The worst part is how you can be totally comfortable and cozy and then BOOM! feels like my back and neck are on fire. Then it's throw off the covers.. take off the layers.. whatever. I really feel like I should be able to heat the house with them…

I know exactly what you mean about trouble faking loose strokes. I read a fiction book about a Degas forger that never mentioned this issue and it made the book less believable.
