I first saw photos of this place circled in an email a month or two ago, and it's seriously all I can think about. I have never had the desire to go to China before, but now I WANT TO GO HERE

I... uh... definitely never saw that when I was in China.

But there's plenty of tamer heights and temples that are a bit more palatable to the average person.

China is freakin' AWESOME. It's landscapes like you've never imagined before. It's almost surreal.

I've never had any desire to go there. At all. Great Wall looks pretty cool, but meh. The culture doesn't fascinate me, unlike so many others around the world, and my friend Fyreuni lived there for about a year and didn't like it at all.

But this monastery, this summit, combines three things I love - mountain hiking, culture and spirituality. It's just so... wow.
