My Idols/Heroes

These from television and movies I truly love. Who are my heroes. Who play great characters who have brought a lot of enjoyment to my life. Sure they are the idols of many others too so I have questioned why I think they are so great? Is it buying into the idolsm that is already there? Is it some cheesy joking way I idolise them and deep down I ( Read more... )

Oh, God, not the band camp quote...

You would not believe the jokes made about me 'cos of my being a little more than slightly geeky and playing the flute 'cos of that film...

Wow were you still in school when that film came out?

That will make me feel old. :(

Sorry babe but she is well known for that quote so had to include it. :)

Was at Uni, I think in my second year at Loughborough, but I can't remember... The thing was, I'd not seen the film at that point, and the folks teasing me were just as geeky, if not geekier, than I was!!

Ah well I did something far geekier at Loughborough university. I went to a roleplay tournement once.

*hides in shame*

You might have been going there then. Was about 6 or 7 years ago.

Well I don't mind Charlse. As Royals go I think he is one of the better ones but I would ditch him in a second for Brian Blessed.

Ooh maybe we should start a campaign to make Brian Blessed King. :)

Aww sorry you lost your Tom Baker autograph. I have lost all the ones I had from childhood apart from those made in books.

Yeah I think the second most popular Doctor after Tom Baker has to be Pertwee. He was before my time so not see much of his. He is pretty popular but still not close as popular as Tom Baker. :)

When Shatner was on Conan O'Brien once, he forgot the name of the character he played in Star Trek. *lol*

I suppose he just had a blackout or something, you know. It really was too funny! He goes, 'when I played Captain...' *akward silence* Finally, Conan shouts, 'KIIIIRK'!? *lol*

Alyson Hannigan once proposed to me. Unfortunately for her I remain true to Avril Lavigne who often leaves secret messages to me in her songs....

I think Colin Baker was the doc when I was growing up. The curly hair of Tom looked familiar, but he looked a bit older than I remember.

Colin Baker was the worst one in my opinion. He was trying too much to be wacky like Tom Baker where as Tom Baker was naturally that way so it worked out well with Colin Baker it looked too put on.
