Because it is public and because it is a news article, I am disinclined to lj-cut unless necessary. Plus, will later be adding an lj-cut version with my random commentary inserted into it. Randomly decided I may make a separate LJ just to document local news - or at least follow this case - and provide my thoughts, but that is neither here nor there.

On the ageans.com forums you can find links on the thread about this for one of the youtube copies and an image of the 8 people who got arrested.

Absolutely appalling. These six + two were creating a video game with a real victim --- and were so disconnected from reality that, following their arrest, at least one of them asked if they would get out in time to go to cheerleading practice tomorrow.

Unfortunately, in my opinion this comes down to moral values originally taught by their parents, taught so weakly that notoriety on YouTube completely trumped personal rights to bodily safety; does not sound like any one of the attackers hesitated a second, or had any moral qualms.
