As a side note, Dreamwidth does crossposting to LJ (not that I post often enough for you to compare :D), and if it helps it's a post-by-post option rather than all posts ...
There are eleven days until Border War, actually. I'm counting down pretty closely.
Last time I looked (which was a while ago as I can't be arsed messing with crossposting options that keep breaking), Dreamwidth offered crossposting to one LJ account per DW account only, and I had/have set that up for my mundane blog. And it stopped working (again) quite a while ago and ... arsed. Can't be. *shrug*
Have you booked for BW? I think they still have cabins if you don't get your tent finished.
I could get sugar for pancakes, but then I would not have time to cook and eat them *and* have a bath before I go to the hospital for ... what's it called? MDAS?
I'll see if I can get my other half to take me out for an early pancake lunch instead. If we have time... :)
Nice to see you here again. I should check into DW more often but that comes under the lack of arse heading too. I am pleased to hear about your gestational state - do you have a due date?
I'm highly amused that you've got religion - I completely forgot about Shrove Tuesday. It's a bit too late for me to make pancakes now, really, though it is tempting ...
Due date has always been nebulous for me. Based on previous gestations, not before mid April. Based on the anxiety levels of the doctors who see my age and weight; any time now (and the sooner the better!). *shrug*
I celebrate Christmas, Choc-fest and Pancake day, as well as any number of other celebrations which originated in or were co-opted by some religion/s or other. I'm told that my Irish heritage is to blame - the unofficial family motto is "Any excuse for a party."
I didn't get pancakes, though. We were out of sugar and I was out of time to get sugar and cook and eat and also bathe before a medical appointment. So we got our bulk-carbs by eating at a pasta place for lunch instead. :)
I will send good wishes for the rest of the pregnancy to be uneventful then. And I don't see any reason you can't celebrate Ash Wednesday with pancakes ...
