I'm a big fan of pieces that revolve around a conversation, particularly between two characters. Here you do a really nice job of conveying the bond between Erik and Charles without using heavy exposition. Yes, the reader can fill in the blanks (based on the movies etc) but even without that your ficlet captures them really nicely.

I like the hint of tension that serves to remind us and them that there are differences in opinion that aren't disappearing anytime soon, but that those difference don't change who they are in relation to one another.
