What an awesome drabble. I love how unclear certain things are...like you're giving this tiny glimpse into a middle moment (not a starting or ending point but a scene in between). It gives this scene a real sense of movement and energy.
Sylar is injured and dying and Mohinder is trying to look at the wound but Sylar already knows how this is going to turn out. I love when Mohinder reaches out to him but Sylar grabs a hold of his hand and stops him. There's this understanding that passes between them. When Mohinder gets the gun I thought he was going to kill Sylar but then he heads to the back room...which lays open a lot of possibilities.
Like I said, I like how this feels like one of those in between scenes. I can imagine what happens before and after.

oh thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked this so much. and I'm especially glad you noticed the hand-grabbing. That was a very intentional move on my part--mostly to give them some sort of contact (to show their intimacy) but especially to show that understanding and Sylar's unspoken concern.
Mohinder kill Sylar?? hm....that's an intriguing possibility... *evil grin* thanks for the idea. ^^

With regards to Mohinder killing Sylar I was thinking of it in a "sparing him more pain" kind of way since Sylar is doing pretty badly here. I almost thought it was going to be a mercy killing that they both understood without saying it out loud.

Guh, I love how you write these scenes; we start and end in the middle of something, making everything so intense.
