Brain malfunction

This is a special request for all the musicologists out there.  Who remembers the name and/or author of that piece about how Ruth Crawford Seeger was locked out of the founding meeting of NYMS or AMS or whatever?  I don't, but I really want to!

I think it is Suzanne Cusick's "Gender, Musicology, and Feminism" in Rethinking Music. But I could be wrong - I don't actually have the book with me.

Xandrama is 100% correct; that story was first told from a feminist POV in Judith Tick's biography of Crawford Seeger.
