Thanks for your dad's words of wisdom. I've often seen a variation on (e) that's paying attention to how someone treats underlings/people in menial jobs.

I don't actually remember if he explicitly said any of those things; I learned them through his actions. I've heard a variant on (e) about judging a date or interview candidate by how he treats the waiter, too.
