True, but I tend to go weeks between reboots and would likely find that a hassle -- especially since I would want other applications (like an editor or word-processor) to be concurrently available. If I could run a Windows VM on the Mac (Parallels, in other words) -- without paying for another copy of Windows -- I'd consider that. But I'm not going to pay for another OS when I've already bought a copy of XP that Microsoft just won't let me move to another machine.

There's nothing better in this space right now. That's why I created the Dafcast. 22 dapim down, 2,689 to go. :-)

Plug away! If this post had been AC (After Caffeine) instead of BC I might have even thought to do so myself. :-)

Hmm. It would seem to me, if a ship is threatened and things need to be tossed overboard, that an exchange between the gold and copper merchants would be more equitable if agreement can be reached, so the copper is tossed and the gold is shared around. But that gets into tricky concepts of relative value (maybe the copper is in the form of family heirlooms), so the original is probably a better general rule.

I don't see any reason that the people on the ship couldn't make deals first, if they have time.
