The kind and generous browngirl sent me a box of home-made fruitcakes, beautifully decorated. She does wonderful things with baked goods, and I'm savoring them. :-)
Although I need to work on my packaging. They looked better when they went into the box. I got those Stars of David with thoughts of you, among others, and I'm cross that one broke.
The 'gooey' one is an Emily Dickinson's Black Cake, with molasses and ginger and citron.
It broke, but it didn't shatter so I could still see what it was and re-assemble it. (It slipped in the picture, which I hadn't noticed at the time.) And the other one was intact! (I suspected those stars were intentional, too.)
I don't know what else you could have done with the packaging; these were carefully wrapped and well-padded when I opened the box. I'm glad you took pictures before sending them out, 'cause you just never know what'll happen in transit. I'm glad the leaves/flowers came through -- and that blue "cone" on the one is cute.
Ah, citron! I should have guessed that. (That one is really yummy. I love ginger. :-) )
