Loved this. Especially like your John voice! You've captured him quite well. Loved his uncertainty and the way he exudes a kind "big bad older brother" mystique.

He found it hard to picture Paul's other friends. John only knew radom fragments of information that Paul had told him. They might even be made up. For all John knew, he could be Paul's only friend. But he couldn't really believe that someone like Paul only had one friend.

Particularly loved that bit! See, I can't articulate why. Just loved it.

I really do love this. It feels so 1950's John and Paul really just sitting and having a fag, like real life you know? I hope you do more of this in this timeframe. I've read it before but it felt new again
