Okay so I am not done procrastinating.
http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2006/11/24/wheat-gene.html The domestication of wheat is an example of GM a plant. So, now they are taking something wild and putting it back into where it was taken from. Uhhhh duhhh????? And they are testing types of wheat from countries all over the world.

With regards to GMOs and stuff, you should check out this movie if you get the chance...it follows Vandana Shiva on her quest to get seed patents revoked and bringing awareness to the harms of GM farming...I know there are a quite a few underground doc films on that topic, but this one was really good.

I was talking about our structural systems with my dad the other night, and I was saying that I'm really interested to see what happens in the next 10 years or so...maybe I'm just being overly optimistic, but I can't help but feel--and more lately than I did before--that on every level, politically, economically, and socially, it's time for some drastic changes in NA society, and I think we're at the point where the systems are failing enough that somewhere in the nearer rather than later future there will be an opportunity for something (and I don't know what that something will be) to happen, to instigate the beginnings of some wide-spread social change...
