Ahh, I haven't seen the voice overs, we don't watch it on BBCA.

But MOFFAT WHY ARE YOU SO CREEPY IN THE HEAD WHAT WHAT.

And there we go with The Doctor exterminating an entire race again.

Still. THAT EPISODE was amazing and that one scene with the banter between River and The Doctor? HOT. So hot.

Loved it. So much. Shit has gone past real.

OMGs, the banter between River and the Doctor during the fight, right?? Back to back, when they're just going back and forth and it sort of seems like they might just throw each other down right there? THIS WAS THE FIRST MOMENT I EVER SHIPPED RIVER/DOCTOR.

I love Doctor/River. I am TOTES shipping them, have been for a while now. And yes, when they were back to back. Oh.my.Gods. *fanning myself*

That was me talking to myself. D: I've shipped Doctor/Rose so long, and I still love the pairing. And I also want to believe that's what's making the Doctor so hesitant when it comes to a serious relationship again. He lives so long, see, that things like this... we heal faster from heartbreak than he does because we have so little time to do it in. The Doctor has more time to grieve, and for him, it's still too soon.

In my head, anyway.

Also, while I don't believe River is a future incarnation of Rose (Moffat hated Rose), I do believe River definitely can represent what Rose was on her way to becoming, even without the Doctor. Strong, knowledgeable, capable on her own.

I HATED River when she showed up and it was strongly, heavily insinuated that she would be the Doctor's future lover/wife. TOO SOON ( ... )
