I would very much like to be married one day. Not only because I would very much like to find an equal and best friend I love and who loves me, but because I really, really want to change my last name. I want to get rid of the one I have. I should never have allowed the adoption to go through. I should have kept my biological father's last name

What about having your name legally changed?

Well, it just seems tacky and not in my best interest on many levels to have my name legally changed while I'm still living with them. Right now I'm taking my mother's ever so loving advice to milk him for all he's worth (except I need to pay him back for everything? So... doesn't really make sense but hey, new computer I wouldn't have been able to get otherwise). Not to mention, legal fees and whatnot.

One day, when I'm rich and famous (or just rich) and can support myself and pay the legal fees to do so, then yeah, I'd legally change my name. Right now it's just not feasible. Easiest road would be to get married. XD

That makes sense. You probably don't want to dredge up any potential drama that would come of the obvious "F You" your family would take from a name change.

Now where shall we find you a wealthy man?

I am interested to be included on said filters if you feel it apt, and I am.. not not triggerable, exactly, but my triggers are so far from anything that makes plausible sense that there's just no way of conveyting what people should avoid, so do not worry on that regard.

I also vote for not needing to get married to change one's last name. {Having married someone who was married before, I was sorely tempred to take my ex-spouse-in-law's name, but it would have been messy with already having a professional publication history in my current name.)
