We've had the last ever episode of Lewis before, so I wouldn't be entirely unsurprised to get more. That or Hathaway.

Isn't Lawrence Fox off to seek and fail to get fame and fortune in Hollywood?
I'm not sure that DC Maddox has enough 'oh noes teh backstory' for her own spin-off, but then as t__m__i pointed out, Lewis didn't have ONTB before he got his own series. I think it's time for her to have her own series, really.

David Dundas - a man who could respond to a brief.

I remember the C4 music - they played it in the breaks because they struggled to get advertisers in the early days, especially late at night. It was going to fail! No-one would watch it!

Why anyone thought a combo of subtitles, shagging and prurient reality TV would fail is anyone's guess, but it was the past and they did things differently there

ITV does have a long history of bad crime drama and for the problems of minor area issues one could cite Wycliffe. A series which manages to make Cornwall look like a place with dull scenery by virtue of rubbish camera angles and shooting when it was dull and overcast (though admittedly that is the weather a lot of the time). Dreary scripts and actors without charisma also help.
