The contest? I won.Thank you to everyone who voted, even if you didn't vote for me. The folks at Crossed Genres are super-nice, and this contest brought them a lot of traffic and attention. My three favorite stories ended up being the runners-up, so I guess most people had similar taste. I'm still amazed that mine came out on top. I think ( Read more... )

Congratulations! It's quite a nice story. I really admire people who can do flash and do it well. :)

Thanks. Probably 95% of my flash is never submitted anywhere. It's great for practice, but hard to make _work_.

That's awesome! Congratulations!

Also good work on the synopsis - I've been avoiding mine since I wrote one up months ago that turned out to be 8 pages, single-spaced. Deeply intimidated by all the work.

So do you think you'll be writing Abnormal for NaNoWriMo, then?

Thank you! Synopses scare me, too. When I did the synopsis for MOUSE, my first draft was over ten pages and I wasn't done. Part of that was because the novel had inherent flaws, though. I've been dreading the synopsis for NORMAL for months, so I was amazed to get it done so quickly. I thought it would take all of July to get it in decent shape.

Yes, I'm planning to do ABNORMAL during Nano. I can't picture doing anything else in November - this will be my eighth year!
