They focus more on the beauty of well-executed attacks rather than just brute strength. There's an Appeal round where we show off our Pokemon's beauty as they do perform coordinated moves-kamo. Then, if you make it to the Battle round, you'll get to face off against the other Coordinators who made the cut, and by elimination, they choose who wins the Ribbon of this particular Contest-kamo!
Five Ribbons are required to enter the Grand Festival, which takes place once every summer. I've participated in them twice-kamo!

No, responsible Pokemon Trainers take VERY good care of their Pokemon-kamo.
We always take them to Pokemon Centers for treatment immediately after they faint and know when it's better to withdraw-kamo. And after they're healed, they're back to fighting fit!
