[The sphere flickers on as Ammy's lying on a rug before the fire. The marks on her skin are growing pale, and she looks almost sick. Being so close to the black hole is beginning to take a heavy toll on the sun goddess's health among other things. She does not seem to realize that she's accidentally activated the sphere.]I could not finish my tasks

[No matter the depth of his own distress, that's something Abel could never just ignore. He's no good at walking away from situations like this.

Still, out of respect, he'll pretend he didn't hear. He's not going to act foolish or start in on the boisterous cheer, just yet. Instead, he'll cross the room to a chair nearby, sitting primly on the edge, and offer her a cautious, wan smile.]

So you did find a comfortable place to nap, after all, hm?

I did, but it does not feel quite as good as it had before. [She looks up at Abel, managing a small tail wag for him.]

[A little bit of hope at that wag, but her condition doesn't seem promising.] No, I suppose it wouldn't.

[He's uncomfortable with trying to keep silent, and after a moment Abel speaks up again:] What's happening here... No one of us is at fault.

[She nods and tries to roll over, but even that seems to be too much of an effort now. Sprawled on her stomach, she pants for air. She was so tired...]

I have come to terms with it, I think.

[She looks up at him with a soft whine.] Forgive me, Abel. I am not sure how long I will be able to hold this form now.

Oh, goddess.

[ Rangiku is here in spirit, her body still on the first level. It's happily drinking, mostly because the Artificial Soul is a would-be lush in the making. Rangiku sits next to Ammy, wanting to ask if she'd be allowed to run a hand over her hair. ]

You know most the kids here are asking themselves the same thing, right?

They are? [She tries to lift her head, but slumps at the effort.]

Yes, they are. [ she does pet Ammy's head, mostly because of how sad it was to see her having difficulty lifting it. ]

Try not to worry too much. It's better if you just rest, for now.

[celestial_okami]

Mm. [She nods again, going quiet. The petting was nice, she was finding she wanted to curl up against someone, a strange burning sensation made her rub at her her eyes with her sleeve.]

I think I will do so.

[ The mention of his name draws his attention more than anything else.

He doesn't want to intrude on Abel and Ammy, however. Sasuke keeps a quiet watch from the kitchen. ]

[ Sasuke might feel something gently, insistently nudging him from behind, though if he looks around, nothing will be there.

Rangiku's just trying to get him to play nice with the other kids. ]

[ Nudge and-- hey. There really isn't anything there.

Sasuke's finding this odd, but no more so than everything else. It's sad, to see Ammy like this. ]

[ who that's addressed to, he doesn't clarify, but he's edged around Abel to where the wolfy Ammy has a somewhat exposed side. ]

[Ammy lifts her head enough to look over at Sasuke, her tail giving a small wag as she makes a soft sound in greeting.]

[watches her for a moment, worried, but not sure if he should intrude] Amaterasu...can I help?

[She looked up, her ears flicking forward.] I am not sure if there is a way to help, Oliver. I cannot think of a way to keep that hole in the stars from draining me as well.

But I thank you, regardless.

You told me you need followers, right? What do they have to do?

I need them to believe in me. Gods only live by the faith of their followers. In the hundred years after my death, the people of Nippon began to lose their faith while the demons began to overrun the country. The gods began to fade, if I had not returned when I did, they could have faded completely. Without faith, and without praise, I too will fade over time.

[dawnward]

[Riku isn't the best at comforting...well, anyone.

It's not your fault. All of this...none of us asked for it. We tried the best we could.

[frowns, getting a really good look at her condition]

Maybe you should try one of the beds.

I think I am coming to terms with this, though it is hard for a god to realize something is beyond their power.

Possibly, I am very tired at the moment.

I am not sure what will aid me now.

I do not know of Kairi, but I have met Sora. It is good to be with friends, I think.
