But this one I had to share simply so I could use the lyrics. ♥ And to those who are not into Hetalia: download this song. It's a Scandinavian folklore and the most beautiful you'll ( Read more... )

Aww, thanks. ♥ I know, they're probably one of the most tragic couples I've ever come across in the world of animanga.

(I had so much trouble with resizing that, now it's finally the right size, because Photobucket kept being a bitch... >_>)

"Fälja" is a dialectal thing, while "fälla" is the official word (I guess you'd call it). While the guy in the song-file you had sings "fälja", it makes more sense to write "fälla". (Of course, the song is old, so it could have been "fälja" once upon a time. The Swedish language has gone through a ton of spelling reforms.) But "fälla" works the best, I think.

Also, gah, heartbreaking! And I kinda had no idea it was Finnish-Swedish. *looks it up at wiki* Appearantly it comes from Åland, the lovechild of Finland/Sweden. It's popular among Swedish-speaking parts of Finland and appearantly the first line existed in a song from the 18th century, called "Goder natt, goder natt, allra kärestan min" Eng: "Good night, good night, my most beloved one."

Personally, I don't think I've heard the song since I was in elementary, so much thanks for the song-file!
