Yes, he does! I like Tallulah myself, though Tab did not seem to enjoy working with her. I think his exact words were that she was a "pain in the ass."
My guess is that by the time he worked with her, she probably wasn't the easiest person to be in a play with. I think he respected her talent, and he said that he felt sorry for her.
I was unfamiliar with it myself, so I was somewhat shocked to read about what a big deal it apparently was. The whole thing was cooked up by vengeful neighbors, who decided to tell the press that Tab beat his dog. Once the press got a hold of it, they had a field day with the story and Tab eventually had to go to court to deny the allegations, which weren't true in the first place. He even includes newspaper clippings of all the articles about it!
I'm amazed by the sheer sordidness of an animal abuse smear campaign. What was their beef with Tab? Was it a property line dispute or homophobia in action?
Supposedly, his neighbors kept trying to invite him over for dinner, and when Tab turned them down, they decided to make up a story that he beat his Weimaraner dog. When the case went to court, their claims fell apart -- they'd say that Tab beat his dog on days when he was out of town filming, or that he kicked his dog so hard that it flew several feet up in the air. The whole thing was really, really bizarre, but people actually believed it -- in the book, Tab reprints some of the hate mail he received!
Tab whining and self loathing

I read the entire book and found Tab to be whiny about his career and his self loathing, homophobia was a real issue. All he could do was talk about other "faggots" and queens. I read it to really like the guy and ended up loathing him.
