I suck at being eloquent, but I think its awesome to see how diff people write their characters, plot, etc.

Yeah. strigoia and I constantly boggle at each other over AIM, because our writing processes are so different. She likes to go into things with not only all the worldbuilding and characters sorted out, but a pretty decent outline of the plot from beginning to end.

I...start talking to my characters, fix whatever scene/piece of dialogue/general idea/setting inspired me in my head, keep half an eye to my theme, and embark on writing with a pack of sandwiches and some vague idea of what's happening next.

(which of course means our revision processes are really different, too - for me, it's a case of fixing the structure of the plot/theme to sort out anywhere I might have thrown extra bits in where it seemed like a good idea and create some continuity; for M it's more a case of seeing what doesn't work so well when drafted as it did in the outline, replotting it, then rewriting it. I think.)

Uh, sorry I babbled at you! Heh.

LOL, no it's ok. It's cool how minds work and then create works of fiction that are both amaZing but came about in diff. ways!

Nice! This post is going to be useful for me as a writer. I need to get more interactive with my characters. I think about them all the time as I go about my day, but for some reason I rarely talk to them. I really should start.

Found you through strigoia, and I'm friending you because your whole journal looks like something I'll want to read.
