Add-on to earlier post: Obama will donate all the Peace Prize money ($1.4 mil) to charity

If he does indeed take this award as a call to action, that would be an excellent outcome. Peace is certainly to be desired in this world. I'll be curious, too, to see which charities get the nod.

I live in so deep a cave that I hadn't heard about the Peace Prize till I read this. It prompted me to turn on NPR for dinner.

I would have expected nothing less of him (to donate the proceeds to charity). I do hope it spurs some more concrete actions... like getting us the hell out of Iraq and out of 80% of our military bases around the world, but I won't hold my breath.

I still think it's cool, even if I'm a bit surprised by it.

Pulling the troops out of Iraq would be awfully nice to see happen, since we had no legitimate reason to be there in the first place.
