He had a tire blow out on the way home tonight. Tried to call me, but of course I had my phone off because of attending talk/reception/dinner. Once I left the restaurant though I did check my phone and called baqck. He feared for a while that he'd have to be towed all the way home, but he does have the doughnut spare in the trunk so the tow guy

Yep! *g* Though it did mean getting home v. late and only about 5 hours of sleep... not that I don't sometimes do that anyway, but now I'm yawning terribly!

Nope. There was a message on the machine from him when I got home, but I left it for SO to listen to... I don't know if SO managed to find time to call and fire him and the message was a response to that, or not.

Yeah, and he was in the middle of absolute BF when it happened (on the freeway, but not really near anything). I expect I'll hear more of the story tonight...
