Non-candy options we sometimes give out: mini-bags of pretzels (come 30 bags to a sack, something like that, and usually only $4-5), and temporary tattoos, which are also sold in with the candy stuff, at least at our grocery store. Two years running, I've bought a package on clearance the previous year, since they don't exactly go bad, and just put them in with our Halloween decorations so we find them again when we pull those out. Glow-sticks/necklaces/bracelets are always super-popular, though, so that's a good idea, too.
(Oh! And if you feel comfortable doing so, would you eventually share a pic of you in the costume?)
LOL, I failed to take a picture of Tain with the empty butter wrappers (I am just not a big picture taker). So I think DogShaming is out of the question.
But I will probably try to share a pic of me in costume in some manner or another. Have done so before with the Hobbity one, so why not.
