Thanks for posting even though it can't be fun to review all that for us; I have wondered how you are.
So sorry about the little boy, nothing worse than that. House woes are such a trial. As you say they only maintain, never clear benefits, it sometimes seems. "Getting another dog." Did you lose Juno?
We have Thanksgiving with my Mom at her assisted living place so we can eat together but she doesn't have to travel. My husband is on continuous oxygen and uses a walker (as does Mom), so getting all together is complex.
I'll wave to you on Dec. 26 as you fly over me ;) *hugs*
Huge, huge hugs. That is a lot to be dealing with, at any time, for anyone, so don't feel bad about being down - don't take on THAT burden too. Anyone who'd judge you for that doesn't deserve you anyway.
Thanks hon. I don't feel guilty for being down, not really, because I do think much if not all of it has external causes and is Not My Fault. Not that that makes it any better to BE down, of course, but I don't think I'm adding to my own burden. If that makes sense?
I am crossing my fingers that the med changes are a good start on giving you back the creative urge. The world is a much less colourful and engaging place without more of your fic!
Good luck with the house. I am soooooo not sorry we sold the old WW2-era house in the more central part of town and moved slightly suburban because the repairs and maintenance were eating us up, not just financially. It's a big responsibility!
Here's hoping you find some time this holiday season to get grounded and celebrate the good bits in life.
We like our house and neighborhood in most ways, but sometimes it is a HUGE burden. I don't seeing us moving though, not unless we move to another state or something.
