For anyone who may have been living on Neptune for the past several months, Election Day in the U.S. is tomorrow. Tuesdays being my noon-9 pm work day, I will be voting sometime in mid-morning, and doubtless keeping an eye on the results during my reference desk shift. I'm looking forward to it being over. The bookies are now giving 3/1 odds on Romney, so as far as the gamblers can predict-- it's Obama by a pretty good spread tomorrow. :-)

What a lovely romance. And how nice that NY is issuing licenses. I've contacted friends in OK to say-- I'm living in NY till May if you want to come visit and "get legal."

Yeah, Nate Silver has a pretty good track record with his prediction model, so here's hoping.

Re: election... *sigh* At this point it's all luck and prayer and folks showing up at the polls (where, hopefully, their votes will be counted!).

I voted! I voted! My vote for president is meaningless, sadly, but there are state and local elections and measures where it might make a difference.

It is! One of them made a short speech in which he was saying he had never imagined that this day would ever happen for him, and how happy he was that it actually had. Totally tear-making (in a joyful way).
