Some days when the world cried for mutant blood, Charles missed the politics of academia where he fought with ideas not lives.
God, yes. This must tear him up too, all that violence directed at mutants. Ironic isn't it, that people are so worried about mutants being dangerous and act on it with cries for blood.
When he watched Jean push herself up from the ground and touch the sky, he felt more tied to his chair than ever. She flew.
Wow. That was powerful in so few words. I totally feel Charles' longing there.
They told her that no one else wrote of love with as gentle a touch as she did and wondered. Jane never told them of her Tom.
Oh yes. I bet people often wondered but Jane would never tell, for sure.
