I like the idea that the girl who can always change herself, is never satisfied with herself. That she gets upset about her own self. And I liked Charles reassuring her.
"I hate this. My eyes aren't right." "Raven, stop, please. I love you and you look perfect." "But Charles." "No buts, just you."
Oh, beautiful, such a great phrase.
A touch is a small thing but when Erik's hand rests for a moment on Charles' shoulder, he can feel the space between them shrink.
This was my favorite, I think. So very much Charles and Raven and the differences in how they view the world.
"The world isn't neat and nice, Charles. It has teeth and you have to fight back." "I know its not. I just would rather be nice."
And I love the idea of Dem teaching Ben about Bocce!
"And this is a game for fun?" "It's a game for spending long afternoons outside with glasses of wine and talking of nothing, Ben."
I loved the phrase 'must learn the whys'! Perfect.
