Full of hopes
My break is off to a quite good start. The two days of driving went without too many problems; lots of roadwork but the weather wasn't too bad. First night I arrived, I watched mysteries with my mother and ate leftovers. Last night an old medical school friend of my father and his wife came over and we had dinner and talked. Ugh, the ear though - I can imagine you feel naked without it. (wait...edited because I meant your earring, not that you are walking around without an ear - I have to go to bed, lol) I had a necklace I wore for years and when it broke, I walked around every morning feeling like I had forgotten to do something. I hope it heals and doesn't get too infected or anything.

We are going to have to talk about our LotR weekend when you get back. If you check out my latest journal entry, you will see that my brother is a big giant pain in my ass and now my month has to have its whole schedule rearranged. I know we talked about maybe doing it over the holiday weekend, but now everything is kind of up in the air. Family - /shakes head/
