Yes, when that meme or DE about 'Which of your pups do people think you're most like?' went around, people went 'Demeter!' at you.

Which makes me happy. I'm quite glad to be connected with her. Oh and shall we pause the Gotland stuff while we do Urq-Moist then Teja?

Villains by Necessity sounds great, but it looks like it's out of print. (Upwards of $100 on Amazon!) Where did you find it?

I love SBTB! I'll have to check out Unraveled too.

I found it at the University library, so your local library might have it.

Yes, it's such a great site. Unraveled was one of their book club books and that's how I won it. Though I got the date of the book club wrong in my head so actually missed the chance to talk about it.

It looks like Austin Public and, randomly, the Texas A&M University library have it. I will check to see if I can interlibrary loan it!

And the reccer butts in: Yeah, Villains By Necessity is out of print, alas. (I want a copy to call my own so I can give the one I borrowed back to its rightful owner - she did say keep it as long as I needed to, but still - but I haven't had much luck on that front so far.) Most people I've spread the word to have had good luck with hitting up their local library.

It's a riff on a high fantasy worlds where the balance of the world has gone too far towards Light and a band of villains need to go and open a DarkGate to release Darkness into the world once again.

That actually sounds like a great premise - kind of the usual fantasy thing turned on its head.
