Robin Hood, Historical Fiction and Summer Plans

Life has been quite amazing this week. My parents left on Monday, I had an interview on Tuesday and one on Wednesday and now the one on Wednesday has lead to me having a summer internship. I still need to find a mentor and put together a proposal for it so I can get credit but I pretty much have an internship. Its wonderful, I'm going to be helping ( Read more... )

Meh. You are not missing a thing by skipping the new Robin Hood. In fact, you probably would have been overcome by the urge to throw stuff at the screen halfway through it. =)

I do wonder how many people are drawn to medieval history because of book, tv, or film. I know the '80s era Robin of Sherwood helped get me started on it.

The Robin Hood legend is so compelling and has so many things going on it that it left me just wanting to know more.

The Cadfael books I think also contributed a part too with her showing of the messiness of that time.
