I've not seen it, but I was just reading a ficcy which didn't say Owen died and omg when I got to that point I had to check! Seriously? Can't believe I missed it. Thank you for clearing it up though. No more Owen...

"Martha re Jack "Let's say, we were under the same Doctor..." No, not really, but I bet you both wish you had been (snicker)"

ROTF! Hell ya~

"Was I the only one hoping that the big bug would break the glass to get to Gwen? No? Okay."

*raises hand shyly* I was.

I LOVED all the DW references and Jack asking how her family is- cause for me Jack bonded with The Jones'es on the Valiant and technically got to be with them longer than he was with Martha.

Also Martha being a Jack/Ianto shipper is adorable!

The way I see this season- odd episodes get Ianto/Jack heavy and even ones are subtle. The date-asking was episode 1. Episode 2 they kind of flirted. Episode three- THAT kiss. Episode four- Ianto and Jack's look on everyone being single and sad. Episode 5- great comforting moment and a kiss to his forehead. Episode 6- insinuations and stuff.

I like that theory!

Until I'm proven wrong by episode 7 (or otherwise) I'll stick by my theory.

Yet another reference back to DW. We've had the Slitheen mayor of Cardiff, Pharm, 'under the same Doctor', Jack's bad experience with politicians...how many more?

Also, during the conversation between Jack and Martha, the background music was one of the themes from DW-- they used it a lot in Last of the Timelords when Martha was doing her saving-the-world thing.

And yeah, the "New Mayor of Cardiff" thing-- I'd actually watched Boom Town directly before watching this episode, and I thought that it must have always been there, and I hadn't picked up on it before, but it would seem like this is the first time its made an appearance, judging by the comments of others. All through watching Boom Town, I was thinking, "Where the fuck is Torchwood!?" although of course, I know full well that the show didn't exist at that stage ( ... )

Lol, no you WEREN'T the only one hoping the mayfly would break out and bite off Gwen's face.

I'm liking her character so much better in these episodes but I still wish SHE had thrown herself in front of Owen when he was about to get shot.

And WHY didn't Jack give Owen the kiss of life? Doesn't it work if there's a gaping gun-shot wound in the heart? Does it only work for prospective boyfriends - or victims of drowning? I'm pretty sure it wasn't because Jack doesn't like to kiss in front of an audience.

It's possible that the damage to Owen was just too severe for Jack's kiss to heal. Ordinary CPR wouldn't have done anything for Owen, so maybe that's why Jack didn't kiss him.

Or maybe Jack doesn't want people to know he can kiss away all their injuries (other wise they'd be snogging him every morning to get rid of hangovers ;-)

You've just given me the most wonderful visual image!

Imagine if your working day ALWAYS started with a snog from Captain Jack?

It reminded me of the wonderful John Barrowman snogging scene from "Maria".

Sigh . . . . . . .
