Here's another thing: I would think it would be almost impossible for Caitlin Moran to not be aware of the questions that were asked when Notting Hill came out (as to why a film set in an incredibly multi-cultural part of Britain had an entirely white cast.) I mean, I think I was 11 when it came out, and I was aware of it. Even if she doesn't want to do something as simple as google existing media discussing something she's about to write an article about.

Ugh, she's just terrible. (I think she blocked me as well, because I can't view her tweets on the android twitter app)

I just found this way after the fact (I've got a lesbian YA fantasy novel coming out in 2 weeks and I was looking for reviewers!) and I wanted to say that I thought you did a great job of being firm with those people who were harassing you. Especially considering the juvenile way the whole thing started, which amounted to what looked like them getting mad at you for actually having an intellect. ??? Bizarre. Anyway, kudos to you :)
