I have never understood the policy of not accepting expired passports. Surely in order to get the passport in the first place, evidence of birth certificate and thus date of birth must have been given, so the date on them is still correct! Birthdays don't become invalid when a passport does XD Birth certificates have no expiray date! Stupid bouncers...
I feel your pain - politics is depressing. It is a downward spiral of lies, backstabbing and fingerpointing. All we can do is try and forget about the current fools at the top and concentrate on ourselves and the things that make us happy even if just for a little while. I guess if we look at it from another point of view, we are much better off now with political fighting than we were in the times when we were forced to deal with royal decisions and the feudal system and all that. To some degree...
It was rather odd. I was half expecting him to say "Your passport is invalid - you were never born!" I don't understand the policy but hey, I saved money by not gambling it away in a tipsy stupor!
The whole thing is a complete clusterfuck. Maybe it's just because I'm not a teenager anymore (sad that 21 is my bitter age) but I don't feel any optimism or hope anymore. Everyone's fucking up everything and avoiding the painfully simple solutions. I know that logically things have gotten better in some areas like LGBTQ issues but in UK we've had the biggest attack on women's rights in a generation with this ridiculous abortion bill and while it as rejected, a ridiculously large amount of MPs voted yes to it and that terrifies me. It never ends.
